Registration Form for Intermediate Class—October 2011

This course is for students who have taken an introductory fusion glass class or who have done some fusion work on their own. By participating in three Saturday classes you will have an opportunity to:

¨ Experiment with new techniques—combing, vitrograph, pot melt, depth with powder

¨ Work on independent projects of your own choosing with the guidance of an award-winning fusion glass artist

¨ Use large kilns at TurtleCreek Art Glass or take your work home to fire

¨ Join a small group (4 to 6 students) and benefit from individual help.

Three 5-hour Saturday sessions (Oct. 1, 8 & 15) - instruction and studio time $425 + HST.
Optional fourth session on October 22th  if needed to complete project.
Class runs from 10am to 4pm.   Students are encouraged to bring a packed lunch as there are few restaurants in the area. Beverages supplied.

Students must bring own hand tools (glass cutters, pliers, rulers, straight edge) and safety glasses.  Grinder available in studio.

Students to bring own glass (SYSTEM 96 ONLY), stringers, rods, powders, fibre paper needed for chosen project or can make arrangements to purchase materials from TurtleCreek Art Glass.  (Sample prices below.) Please discuss your initial projects with the instructor to ensure all necessary materials are available. 

Register Early as class sizes are limited to six students.  (TurtleCreek Art Glass reserves the right to cancel series if insufficient registration.)

$200 deposit is due with registration. Refunds (minus an administration fee of $20) are available up to three weeks prior to the beginning of the course.  If the classes are cancelled because of insufficient registration or for any other reason, full refunds will be given.  Final payment due at first class.

SAFETY WAIVER
Your safety is our first priority. Working with glass has some inherent risks – cuts, splinters, burns, exposure to silica dust and other toxic materials. Students agree to listen to and abide by all safety precautions given by course instructors. Students must wear close-toed shoes at all times and use safety-glass eye protection with cutting, grinding or working with heated glass.  These courses are for ADULTS ONLY.
