Let your creative spirit play.
No glass experience necessary.
No investment in equipment required.
During this 9-hour introductory course you will: 
*   gain an understanding of how glass behaves in a kiln
*  develop basic skills in glass cutting, fusing and slumping
*  make four or more small items -- coaster, small plate, bowl or candle holder, window or wall hanging.
Registration fee = $275 + GST = $288.75   Registration fee includes all instruction, glass, fittings and other materials, use of kiln, grinder and hand glass cutting tools.

In this series of four 3-hour classes, students who have completed Fusing Sampler will be able to explore additional techniques and make 2 or 3 larger objects. 
Registration fee for four class $400 + GST = $420
Registration fee includes all instruction, glass, fittings and other materials, use of kiln and grinder. Students for this course need to bring their own hand glass cutting tools. Contract the instructor in advance if you need to purchase a tool kit.

* Four Monday evenings beginning November 2nd from 7-10pm
OR Two weekends, October 17-18 and 24-25; Saturdays 9am-noon, Sundays noon-3 pm (times may change to suit class members.)

For groups of 4 to 6 people, TurtleCreek Art Glass will design a special class — one day, a weekend or a series. Call to discuss.

Three glass art studios in the Collingwood area are partnering for a special program that lets you try stained, fusion, lampwork and blowing glass all in one week. For details go to www.tasteofglass.ca.

Text Box: PAINTING WITH POWDER
This one-day program is designed for people who want to try a new creative outlet, but who are hesitant about cutting glass. You will use powders, frit, stringers and noodles to create a small three-dimensional scene.  
In one half-day your piece will be ready for the first firing.  The next day you return for about 1/2 hour to finalize your piece for a second fusing. If you can’t come back the next day we can prepare your piece for final fusing.
Registration fee for one class $110 + GST.  Fee includes all instruction, materials and use of kiln.

DATE OPTIONS
* Thursday August 6 from 7-10pm
OR Saturday, August 22 from 1-4 pm.

Text Box: USE OF STUDIO SPACE AND KILNS
Students who have completed the introductory course often want to practice their new skills before taking other courses. Arrangements can be made to rent studio space and kiln time.  Please inquire about opportunities and rates.
