South African Inspired Work

A recent trip to South Africa greatly influenced artist Eleanor Brownridge. “The colours of South Africa follow two distinct directions … the neutral hues that provide natural camouflage for the jungle animals, and the vivid primary colours the women use to create stunning fabrics. When I combine the two in glass art, my sculptures and wall hangings come alive with the rhythm of the jungle beat and the hot colours of the southern hemisphere.”
